Configuring the Timeline

The Timeline component allows you to create a time line of events which will be sorted in chronological order.

Note: In the tab that contains the Timeline and Vertical tab components, you can only have one cluster above the element. However, in the Vertical tab and Timeline itself, you can have many clusters.

To configure the timeline:

  1. Entity - click the ellipsis button and choose RCA Timeline Events for RL6:RootCause or PRW Events for RL6:PeerReview.
  2. Note: Define the element properties in the General tab and Logic tab as necessary. See Element Properties.
  3. Timeline Layout - to see the layout, click Preview. The Timeline component uses a layout that includes:
    1. Title bar with New EventClosedA patient or employee related occurrence which is recorded in paper or electronic format. Once recorded, an event file is reviewed by a file manager who may involve other individuals (e.g. using tasks and follow-ups features) to help investigate and resolve the event. control
    2. Vertical timeline bar showing events in chronological order
    3. Attachment List
  4. Event Items - define the fields in this tab to determine the Date, Time, Title, and Sequence fields as well as determine sort order for timeline events.
  5. Note: The Date, Time and Title fields defined in the Event Items tabs should also be defined in the Event Timeline section. For information on Event Items fields, see Event Item Tab.
